Chronicle Tulungagung


Many things which turned out most people do not know anything. Among the origins and history of the town where he lived. History is one thing that is often overlooked and regarded as something less important.

Tulungagung name actually comes from two words' Toeloeng and Agoeng. The meaning of two words that mean Toeloeng springs and Agoeng means large. Previous name of this city is the district Ngrawa. The mention of the word itself Ngrawa purportedly from the existing number of marshy areas or in the Javanese language "Ngrowo". Tulungagung initially only a part of the district of the county Ngrawa. At that time the capital was still in the area Kalangbret.
